When I tested out the Kobalt 12 inch chainsaw, I was amazed how well it cut through a 14 inch diameter tree. For being a 24V Max, the power was strong and it had plenty of juice left after nearly an hour and half of sporadic cutting. I didn’t have to return the 24V Max chainsaw and there were nothing wrong with it, but I bought a Kobalt 40V Max lawnmower and I wanted to stick with the same battery type.
