The Milwaukee 2429-21XC M12 Sub-Compact Band Saw is the most compact and lightest weight cordless band saw on the market. At less than half the weight and size compared to a traditional deep cut band saw, the M12 Band Saw provides 1-handed power and portability to electricians, maintenance professionals, and other users cutting small diameter materials. The M12 Band Saw weighs only 6.75 lbs and 12 in length, making it ideal for overhead or 1-handed cutting applications. This powerful saw can cut through EMT in only 3 seconds, and will deliver over 150 cuts per charge with the included M12 redlithium XC High Capacity battery. With a 1-5/8 x 1-5/8 cut capacity and low vibration, the M12 Band Saw performs clean cuts on the most common small diameter metal cutting applications. The M12 Band Saw also features a dual-latching lower guard that covers the blade outside the active cutting area, addressing OSHA guarding requirements and making the tool suitable for 1-handed use. This saw is great! I’ve been wanting a battery band-saw for a while now and I’m leaning toward Milwaukee for most of my new tools these days. This saw cuts pipe quickly and cleanly. Makes reaming very easy and I don’t have to worry about those little burrs you get when using a sawzall to cut pipe. I haven’t gotten a chance to use it on strut yet but I’m looking forward to it. I got this saw particularly because I wanted to be able to use it safely on top of a ladder. The larger models from Milwaukee are just heavy enough to be uncomfortable in those situations but this one is perfect. The batter seems to have pretty good life to it as well. The saw comes in a nice hard case with a battery and charger. I’d definitely recommend it for small commercial jobs where you’re running smaller pipe (1 1/2″ or less).
