As Xtend and Climb’s tallest telescoping ladder, it opens by the foot to 15.5 ft. and retracts down to 36.5 in., making it great for the highest and hardest tasks on the job. The XTEND + CLIMB 8.5 FT. ALUMINUM TELESCOPING EXTENSION LADDER WITH 250 LBS. LOAD CAPACITY TYPE 1 DUTY RATINGi is great I used it the same day as I received it. It telescopes and section are solid. I weigh 220 lb and it holds my weight with no problems and solidly stays together. It extends to a full 8.5 feet and leans easily on solid surfaces. I cleaned my gutters with it. My daughter also has one she uses it both indoor and outdoor. I would recommend this ladder.
