It does a very good job sharpening even the dullest knives if you carefully and patiently work on the knife. Once you learn the techniques, it is quite easy to set up and to get a knife sharpened. It does require some patience in looking up the proper angle for each type of knife but once you have it set in your mind what angle you should be sharpening the knife to, the Work Sharp makes it quite easy to set that angle and to sharpen the knife.
