This is awesome for picking up leafs! It’s a bit heavy and I recommend making some sort of shoulder strap for it. Very fast and easy for leaves. Way easier than taking out the shop vac. The adjustable feature makes it simple to pull off leaves and grass without picking up rocks. I recommend wearing a good dust mask when using and emptying out the bag. You should be wearing your mask anyways! Only downside so far is my dog tries to attack it while in use. 🙂 I really hope this beast lasts!

This RYOBI leaf vacuum and mulcher is a well-designed yard tool. I liked the fact that this had wheels to support the vacuum tube (see picture). This is much better than the over the shoulder type I had been using. Secondly, this is battery powered, so no cord to drag around. The 40 volt battery and charger are compatible with other RYOBI 40 volt tools so that is a plus. The charger is well-marked so you can always tell how the charging process is going (see picture). Another nice feature of this vacuum/mulcher is the large bag which has a dual zippered opening (see picture) so you can empty the bag much quicker. There are another couple of features worth mentioning. I was impressed with the locking mechanisms for both the vacuum tube sections (see picture) and the two types of attachment for the tube to the body of the vacuum (see picture). These will make for very secure attachment but also make it easy to detach if you need to clean out the vacuum tube. I highly recommend this vacuum/mulcher!
