On the single-serving side, you have 2 brewing options: making coffee with your favorite brand of pod or using ground coffee. Using a pod lets you brew up to 10 oz. of coffee, and brewing with coffee grounds lets you brew up to a 14 oz., 7-1/4″ tall travel mug. When you want 12 cups of coffee, simply fill the water reservoir, add ground coffee to the gold-tone permanent filter and brew.
